In this episode I am out on the Guadalupe River facing the 750 cfs river in an attempt to do some Texas fly fishing for Texas Brown Trout. It was an exhausting day with me falling into the cold river multiple times and the fish not wanting to take the fly rod. I had to use a combination of fly fishing and fishing with a spinning reel to catch these Texas Trout.

The Guadalupe River is rated in the top 100 trout streams in the America and is the southernmost trout fishery in the US. The rainbow and brown trout are stocked in the Guadalupe River under the Canyon Lake Dam by the Guadalupe River Trout Unlimited (GRTU) and the Texas Parks and Wildlife (TPWD). These rainbow and brown trout provide some of the best winter and spring fly fishing in Texas. To preserve the only year round trout fishery in Texas I only use single hooks and remove the barb off of my hooks.
